The best music of 2007?

DJ Earworm has created an awesome mashup of the best-selling songs of 2007. The original songs themselves are mostly shit, but I do enjoy this big remix.

Best songs of the year? I reckon that Freemasons Uninvited remix was pretty good, and that Plain White Tees Delilah song was sweet. Nothing really stands out, though, which is why I went back to listening to Rootjoose and Incubus. I also got hooked on cheese metal for a while, embracing Dragonforce and Avenged Sevenfold's back catalogues. Yay for Feist getting some UK exposure through the iPod ad.

As far as the rest of 2007 goes... It was the year of the cockney, with Kate Nash and Lily Allen being ok but overhyped to fuck. The Rogue Traders were so fucking awful I'm ashamed I can remember them; aside from Valerie, everything from Amy Winehouse was fucking terrible; Joey Negro and Bob Sinclair can both kiss my black ass; and I wouldn't mind at all if Akon fell into an industrial meat grinder, dragging Fergie with him.

I generally avoid the radio (and live in a cave) so missed half of the hype, found Kate Nash kind of cool, apart from sometimes when I don't but then I do again for a bit until I don't again.
