Paranoid translations

When someone tells me "Foss, you're a legend", is it a roundabout way of telling me I'm twisted? And when they say "Foss, you're a star", are they telling me I'm a bloated ball of gas? Does "I want to have your babies" mean I'm conversing with a kidnapper and/or a pervert? Does "Foss, you're awesome" mean that I'm on my way to becoming awful?

When saying "you're a genius", they never specify whether they mean good or evil.
