Reading? A book??

As many of you may already know, I'm not an avid book reader. In fact, the last book I read (John Gribbin - In Search of Schroedinger's Cat) was around 5 years ago. Oh wait, there's the Learn Norwegian books that I started reading a couple of years ago, but I never finished them. Anyway, it's not that I'm not a good reader, I just don't enjoy reading.

At least that's what I'd convinced myself after being forced in school to read through stories that I couldn't give a fuck about.

I like stuff that improves my brain though. And my latest purchase (Derren Brown - Tricks of the Mind) is FUCKING AWESOME. That's right, I used caps and bold text. That's how good this book is. And I'm only on the Memory part!

I've learned a technique to remember lists of stuff, and while I could only remember 7 or 8 items from a list of 20 random objects before, I can now confidently say I could memorise the whole list. And recite it in reverse if asked. Fucking aye!

I'm now reading into the Loci system, memory palaces and the peg system for remembering numbers.

If you want to make your brain more awesome, get this book now.

That does sound like an awesome book, but the front cover made me doubtful, as I'm slow to trust anyone looking like a magician.

They are said to be full of tricks.
